新纳粹光头党亚当（Ulrich Thomsen 饰）被送往一个偏远的教堂做社会服务，在这里他遇到各色奇怪之人。不过对他来说，最难缠的莫过于虔诚古板的神父伊万（Mads Mikkelsen 马兹•米克尔森 饰）了。桀骜不驯的亚当在伊万面前完全没有办法，作为服务的一部分，亚当选择浇灌苹果树，并与神父约定用秋天收获的果实做苹果派。但是各类天灾人祸不断威胁着苹果的生长，伊万相信这是魔鬼所为，亚当则认为这纯粹是上帝的恶作剧……

Friendships are questioned| sexuality tested.。Photographer Greg Nolan meets Bernice, and loses both his job and his apartment. However, Bernice manages to get him a new apartment, but it is so expensive that he has to get two full-time jobs. Nolan has trouble finding time to do them both without his bosses finding out.。
