许橙是一名全职家庭主妇，丈夫陆衍是私人医院的主治医师。结婚五年，二人生了一个可爱的女儿陆嘉嘉。一年前，许橙开始出现睡眠障碍，且越发严重，偶尔还会产生幻觉自残或伤人。然而，一场车祸却改变了这桩原本美满的婚姻。车辆坠入湖水中的陆衍幸得路人救助捡回一条命，但许橙却失踪了。。The story is set in the 1930s, somewhere in the mountains in Romania. It centres on Simion, a ranger who lives like a hermit in the middle of the forest. One day, he stumbles upon a beaten-up woman, Irina, and tries to find out who has hurt her. He also tries to stay away from her but fails.。
