故事发生在伪满统治下的哈尔滨。地下党员王一民（陆毅 饰）是中学教员，他帮助作家塞上萧（迟重瑞 饰）公演进步话剧，以激发民众反满抗日，并带人刺杀日特中村次郎（贾纪海 饰），营救被关押的共产党人李汉超（徐铁人 饰）。日寇为从经济和政治上控制中国，陷害卢家，并查没他们的财产，还秘捕其女卢秋影（李小冉 饰），逼迫老爷子卢运启（樊志起 饰）做傀儡会长。以致卢老爷子在忍无可忍情况下，与小原特务长和自已的工厂同归于尽。日侨玉旨一郎（周杰 饰）原本是个汉学教育家，但在战争的压榨下，他渐渐失去了本来性情。他深爱卢秋影，但战争使一切都化成了泡影。由于身份的特殊，既便与王一民成了朋友，玉旨一郎越发感到前途的渺茫......。A quick glimpse at the cast for this film would make any horror fan giddy with glee.
