黑暗的小屋内，地板中央站着一支金属台灯。他兀自低着头若有所思，灯光只照亮了脚下的方寸之地。这时候，一只彩色的小皮球滚到大台灯的脚边，他若无其事地将其踢走，谁知没多会儿皮球又滚了过来。如是再三，大台灯发现一支与他长得一模一样的小台灯欢喜雀跃地追着皮球跑到眼前。小家伙精神满满，乐此不疲，他甚至站到皮球上面玩起踩球游戏。突然，小皮球撒气了…… 本片荣获1987年柏林国际电影节银熊奖最佳短片奖、1986年渥太华国际动画电影节OIAF奖第二名，是Ed Catmull和John Lasseter离开工业光魔后皮克斯拍摄的首部动画短片，片中的台灯形象日后也成为皮克斯的经典logo。。Adaptation of Jeremias Gotthelf's world-famous novella with Lilith Stangenberg, Nurit Hirschfeld, Anatole Taubman and Marcus Signer.
