此部金庸電影為大導演張徹執導，製片是蔡瀾，倪匡編劇，片中主線人物包括由傅聲飾郭靖，妞妞飾黃蓉，李修賢飾歐陽克，王龍威飾西毒歐陽鋒，李藝民飾楊康，谷峰飾北丐洪七公，郭追飾老頑童周伯通，顧冠忠飾東邪黃藥師。劇情承接上集，說郭靖與黃蓉來到桃花島，西毒已帶子歐陽克來向黃蓉求婚，黃藥師以考試選婿，郭靖獲勝得娶黃蓉為妻；但老頑童與黃藥師有過節，突將郭靖挾往船中，與洪七公出海；黃蓉追蹤下，錯落歐陽鋒的船上……。The world outside the forest has been ravaged by a deadly virus.
