匈奴首领呼韩邪单于（罗嘉良 饰）为了部族的前程，决定同强大的汉朝建交，这一想法遭到了哥哥呼图吾斯（姚鲁 饰）的反对，呼图吾斯受其妻颛渠阏氏（袁莉 饰）的蛊惑，一心想要出兵讨伐汉朝，夺都篡权。两人一言不合，分道扬镳。
