该剧根据大野康介同名漫画改编，漫画讲述前最凶黑道的现任家庭主夫，绰号不死身阿龙日常生活的人情喜剧。。一颗外太空陨石撕裂长空砸落在印度尼西亚附近的一座孤岛上，此岛有个名字叫“幽灵岛”，而降落地附近随着气浪冲击散去以后，一个不起眼的地方显露出来几颗巨型蛋化石，随着时间的推移，陨石释放的放射性元素影响着岛内的动植物。零零散散矗立着的化石蛋壳表面一片沉寂，不仔细观察不会发现上面有一条细微的裂痕出现，东南亚某大学教授杜峥为了寻找幽灵岛，雇佣雷子探险团队以及逼迫动植物学家雪莉·赵，一同踏上了去往幽灵岛的路途，然而等待他们的将是未知的危险。。Two high level scuba-divers and long-time friends, Don and Dave, broke a world record for depth in the Boesmansgat cave in South Africa.
